Hip-Hop 101
Hip-Hop 101 will offer students' k-2 and 3rd-5th or 6th an opportunity to learn about Hip-Hop culture, specifically the cultural dance style of Bboying and Bgirling and the art called Hip-Hop writing. The students will learn the basics of Bboy/Bgirl style of dance, as well as the history, technique and style, and equally two foundational writing styles of Hip-Hop, blockbuster and bubble style, as well as the history of the art, technique and application methods on wearable goods they will be able to keep. Finally, the culmination of the class will be a "Battle Jam" where the children will perform routines and solos they have practiced in front of an audience of parents and teachers, enjoy food and drink, while showcasing their artworks on display for all to view.
